The Jennings Church of Christ strives daily to be about Christ. Every program is designed to reveal Christ to the body of believers and to our world at large. We pray for, preach and proclaim Jesus to a lost world. We desire to know God as revealed through His only begotten Son and recorded by the Apostles and prophets in Holy Scripture. We preach the whole of scripture with the utmost sincerity and humility. We depend on God's Holy Spirit to guide us through God's Holy Word. We strive to be Christians only, aware of our own human frailties, dependent upon God's grace. Spiritual pride and sectarianism are not tolerated.
Those choosing to worship with us can expect to find a loving accepting congregation walking together the straight and narrow path leading to Christ. Since Jesus is the "I AM," "The Way, the Truth and Life," no man is elevated above his brother in Christ. Elders lead humbly through the word and by example. Deacons serve loyally and teachers teach lovingly the word of truth. Christ's death is proclaimed weekly through the Lord's Supper and all Christians are encouraged to participate. Weekly offerings go to support the work of Christ locally and throughout the world. Preaching is from God's word and meant to exhort and edify. Singing is done joyfully and vocally only.
To the best of our understanding and in complete submission to our Lord, we strive mightily to honor God. To Him who is over all, through all, and in all be glory and praise.
